SUB PRODUCTS
Match Analysis Stream
The Match Analysis Stream is a dedicated distribution channel within the Video Hub.
It is built as a secure, club-specific access point that provides direct video streams via the SRT protocol.
The stream is packaged with a lightweight web front-end, designed only for authentication and delivery of connection details (URL, port, passphrase).
The MAS is an access layer that bridges the Video Hub’s live feeds with external playback tools such as VLC or other SRT players.
Video API
The Video API is a set of programmatic endpoints within the Video Hub designed to manage video content.
It provides a standardized interface for tasks such as match export and clip creation.
The API itself is not a standalone application but a backend service that allows external tools or applications to interact with the Video Hub’s media.
To make it accessible to clubs without custom software, a simple web interface was added, enabling analysts to perform exports directly through a browser.
How it works?
Key Take-Aways
Low Latency
The low latency of the SRT-based live streams, especially the ~1-second scouting feed, allows clubs and analysts to receive near real-time video for immediate decision-making, analysis, and tactical adjustments. Even the slightly higher latencies on main feeds are fast enough to support timely monitoring and review.
Quality
The feeds use H.265 encoding at 15 Mbit/s, providing much higher quality than the old H.264 5 Mbit/s streams. This ensures sharp, clear footage while keeping bandwidth efficient, with tested VMAF scores of at least 96—well above FIFA’s VAR certification benchmark of 85.
Ultra Low Latency ~1s
The scouting feed delivers live video with a delay of only about one second, enabling near real-time analysis
High-quality streams
Feeds are encoded in H.265 at 15 Mbit/s, providing crystal-clear footage well above FIFA’s VAR certification standards.
Scalable architecture
Microservices allow the system to be flexible, stable, and easily extendable to meet growing demands.
Automatic cost optimization
Running on AWS EC2 with Kubernetes ensures resources scale efficiently, reducing operational costs.
