About

The Vieww VAR system draws on the experience gained from goal-line technology (GLT) and combines powerful GPU processing with highly efficient programming. It supports NTSC/PAL, interlaced/progressive SDI signals (PLUS STREAMS) , converting them into high-quality JPEG images, with each frame captured individually, like a photograph, to preserve every detail.
The system offers very fast response times and facilitates the instant and accurate identification of key moments OF THE GAME.
Featuring an intuitive and simple interface, it’s easy to operate even in high-pressure situations.
Thanks to our extensive expertise in image processing, Vieww has developed an intelligent server/client architecture that minimizes data transfer requirements, optimizing both performance and efficiency.

FEATURES

VOL

The Virtual Offside Line is a visual tool used within our VAR system to assist referees in determining offside decisions with maximum precision.

Full Integration:
The system is completely embedded into the VAR user interface, allowing seamless access and control during match reviews.
Pitch Calibration:
Both manual and automatic pitch calibration options ensure accurate alignment of the virtual field with real-world camera views.
Visualization Modes:
Multiple modes such as Grid, Crosshair, and Triangulation provide flexible visual aids for measuring distances, positioning, and angles.

VOL Assist

Virtual Offside Line (VOL) is a feature in our existing VAR System that is used to make decisions regarding offside situations.
VOL Assist aims to enhance this feature using neural network technology to automate this process and improve its accuracy during live football matches.

KeyPoint detection software identifies crucial points on a player’s body, such as joints and extremities, to determine their exact position on the field.

Limb detection accuracy assessment , enabling operators to select the best camera for precise player tracking.

SAOT

The Semi Automated Offside Technology (SAOT) provides a system for identifying potential offside situations, pinpointing the precise moment of the pass, and distinguishing between attackers and defenders, along with drawing the corresponding offside lines. Additionally, it enables the creation of replay animations using camera footage to illustrate the potential offside decision.

SAOT mode provides an interactive user interface that features:

    • Multiple Camera angles and kickpoint perspectives.
    • Time offset navigation around the detected kickpoint moment.
    • SAOT events are displayed in the UI and easily accessable.
    • Classification of events depending on their margin call and the estimated decision (offsides, onsides, passive player interference).

GLT Integration

The integration of Goal-Line Technology (GLT) into the VAR system enhances decision accuracy in key match situations.

GLT Camera Signals in VAR:
Fourteen additional GLT cameras are available to the VAR team, providing highly accurate visual data for checks inside the penalty area.

GLT Ball-Tracking Data in VAR:
The VAR system receives real-time and replay-time ball tracking directly from the GLT cameras, ensuring precise assessments of ball movement and position.

Post-Match Analysis:
The exported GLT feeds include complete ball-tracking information, enabling detailed post-match reviews and performance analysis.

How it works

Every single feature of the Vieww VAR System is built to provide the VARs with the highest quality images in the lowest possible time in order to make the correct decision. With an intuitive and easy interface, operators are immediately in the position to support the VARs in the process.
